JOB TITLE: Export Shipping Specialist

We are seeking a strategic and operationally focused Export Shipping Specialist, who has done international route planning and agreements. To lead and optimize export shipping operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliant, efficient, and cost-effective international distribution while maintaining accurate inventory control, strong stakeholder engagement, and reliable forecasting.
The successful candidate will manage export shipping processes end-to-end, including customs coordination, freight management, warehousing, and people leadership, in a dynamic international environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or International Business (preferred), OR Industrial Engineer or Commercial Director or Shipping Director
  • OR
  • Relevant Diploma with completion of a Management Development Program (MDP) or similar

Advantageous Certifications

  • Certificate in Contract Management & Negotiations
  • Qualified in Trade Regulations and Custom Procedures

Experience

  • Grade 4: 6–8 years’ experience managing people and consistently driving operational KPIs
  • Grade 5: Minimum 6 years’ experience driving KPIs with some exposure to people management

Overall experience must include:

  • Export shipping coordination and execution
  • Documentation and customs processes
  • Carrier selection and route optimization worldwide
  • Export warehousing experience internationally
  • International Ports and Customs knowledge and experience
  • Know all shipping routes and warehouses worldwide
  • Contract management and negotiations (advantageous)

Package & Remuneration

R 110000 – R 120000 – Monthly
